I have been receiving emails and request from my readers about my recommendations to great skin care and beauty routine. I thought I don't follow any routine before, but I realized I did... I never use any soap on my face since I was 18 years old when I was treating it from pimples. That part, I cannot help you folks but I do have some recommendations that you can indulge on.

1) Good skin starts with taking a bath daily (Even at a very cold weather)

I'm not talking about shower here.. shower and taking a bath are completely different thing.

FYI: I never go outside my house without taking a bath.

Regardless of where we grew up from, or which country, I think this has to be taken seriously. Aside from good hygiene practice, taking a bath daily helps your skin rejuvenate and breath properly, if I may say. Even our pets are refreshed after the bath right?

This time of the year is best to take a bath with lukewarm water and use the best bubble baths, soap or scrubs. Skin experts said that lukewarm water open your pores (face and body) so it can absorb the nutrients/vitamins and make your skin softer perfect for that scrubs to remove dead cells.

Eucerin skin care products

After your refreshing bath, don't forget to pamper yourself with moisturizers and body lotions. Our skin is the largest portion of our body that are very visible, so you really have to find ways on how to make it happy.

I have had used Eucerin Aquaporin Active Refreshing Balm Lotion and believe me, my friends literally got themselves their own after using it from my house.. I was so in-love with it!

I usually spend at least 1 hour everyday from taking a bath to prepping my skin with moisturizers, lotions and perfumes.

2) Managing Hair

C'mon, we have to admit that perfect hair is hard to get, especially if you are not born with it.. and I am one of them.

I was given a frizzy natural hair. Like most of us, curly/wavy hair wants to get straight and vice-versa. I went thru a lot of hair routine just to find that perfect straight and just last year, my hair got damaged severely. I stopped rebonding solution and hair coloring for now so my hair can recover.

I recently found out that no matter how many gallons of conditioner I consume in a month, but I don't use any hair treatments, my hair doesn't benefit at all except being smooth and silky for one day. Hair treatments are often expensive and most of us doesn't have time to visit the salon so we heavily rely on DIY (Do-it-yourself). Fekkai luxury hair products used by celebrities from New York is now also available here in Dubai. Brilliant Glossing Sheer Shine Mist on the other hand might be the product I am looking for that can turn heads when I pass by because they can literally smell my hair. lol

3) Invest on Cosmetics

I always believe that make-up is supposed to make us look good and that it was really made for us ladies. If you follow my beauty articles since I started blogging, you know that I started exploring make-up last 2 years ago. I gave my self a chance to be creative and have fun with it. There were quite a few times that I was frustrated coz using my face and skin to try on new products gave me unsuccessful results. But the good thing about my beauty journey, we always get a second chance.

Foundation/Press Powders
I try to stick to face powders for everyday use. But it's handy if you will be able to find the perfect foundation that suits your complexion for that special occasion. Maxfactor is definitely one of the besties for my sensitive skin.

Eyeshadows
Don't get overwhelmed with a lot of colors that you see on a beauty store. Get only the ones that you know you can use. Neutral colors are the safest if you are a beginner and being practical. As soon as you are used to the eye-make-up, I'm sure you'll tend to experiment more and its a good thing!

Lipglosses/Lipsticks
No one will ever say NO to lipgloss! So go on and get as many as you want. It's a good way to start your fetish.

During my Pantene interview

Well, as most of you know, I have been raving about my Pantene experience this weekend at the One and Only Royal Mirage and indeed, it was one of amazing events I had considering it's only the beginning of the year. So, bring it on 2012!

Part of my beauty journey as I explore my old habits into something new, is to deliberately pay attention to my hair. Pardon me, I am thankful for everything that was given to me but my hair needs a little work. I am that girl who spends a lot of time in the mirror to make my hair straight. And to avoid the fuss, I do the re-bonding and hair coloring at least once a year and last year, it got damaged. So I stopped for a while and I believed I'm doing good so far in treating my hair right. I thought that the hair treatment with Pantene will be a perfect timing!

Meet Heba Abulhassan, PR Manager from Procter and Gamble (you probably saw her during my Braun escapades last year) gave us a warm welcome and introduced us to the product.

Mahryska and I were the only fashion bloggers to this exclusive event so we were so thrilled and honored to be here and represent the brand!

After the welcome part, all the ladies went to our private rooms to change and get ready for some stretching and be acquainted with the Yoga session. (It's my first time to do some Yoga class because I have issues on my religious POV.) It was actually a good experience as we did lay on the sands at the beach, and for a short time, I get to enjoy the beautiful lights of Atlantis and the Palm across the Metro rails while the sun goes down.

Going back to my room to get ready for our dinner, I can't help but to pause, snap and capture the startling lights of the hotel..

One and Only Royal Mirage Halls will always be remarkable!

This actually is added to one of my best perfumes. When I say best perfumes for me, it doesn't give me that headache after I used it. I can enjoy it as long as I want to wear it. Beyonce Heat is definitely my pick for that flirty moment or an elegant night out.

As Beyonce said it, "It is a unique expression of a woman's powerful sensuality that thrills and enthralls, drawing you in. At the same time, it is elegant and feminine with an air of mystery."

As you can see, the bottle is dressed up and speaks of Narciso Rodriguez fashion collages yet, the signature scent of sophistication and the familiar musk are never played out, it was just enhanced to a certain notes. In Color for her is a musky floral scent with a heart of musc surrounded by notes of rose, peach pulp, patchouli, moss, vanilla and amberlyn.

Viva Rock by John Richmond

The latest from John Richmond and was launched 2011. Its a floral woody musk fragrance with top notes of mandarin orange, carambola (star fruit) and cactus; middle notes are jasmine and rose; base notes are musk, iris and amber. Recommended for that wild night out!

Just recently, the couple were seen on the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards held on January 15, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Angelina Jolie wore a white one shoulder Atelier Versace gown composed of silk cadis with a folded red detail at the left shoulder and finished the look with white Versace shoes while Brad Pitt, as nominee for Best Actor "Moneyball" wore Salvatore Ferragamo black 3-piece tuxedo, with black satin peak lapel.

How to get Annah’s Classic Smokey eyes look?

To get the best results for the complexion, Manal used "Match perfection foundation 400" , "Match perfection concealer 060", "Match perfection compact powder 402" and "Coral blush-on"
For the eyes, she used "Glam Eye HD eyeshadow- English Oack" by applying the light shade under eyebrows and in the inner corner, use the darkest shade all over the moving eyelid and blend the edges, blend the middle shade in between the crease.
She also used the "Glam Eyes professional liquid liners" to show the eye limit and great bigger eyes.

Exclusive Dinner with Team Tod's ♥

Well, the holidays are absolutely over and though, most of us doesn't want to end it, it's now time to get back to work..

This is the first social event I have attended when 2012 hits and I loved every minute of it. It's a private dinner with only five of us as guests, meeting the VIP from team Tod's, Caterina Guarnieri, PR Manager of Europe and Middle East and Elisa Lubinski as the Regional Manager of Middle East and India. Thank you, Zeina El-Dana from Z7 Communications for the lovely French dinner experience held at La Petite Maison, DIFC.

Website Editors Ahmad Daabas (AMD Mode) and Haleh Nia (Savoir Flair), Dubai based bloggers Mahryska, Lisa Strannesten and Moi were part of it.

I am thanking God so much that when HE showered seafoods, I was really awake and got all of it.
I am having the time of my life right now and I am so glad that seafoods are a part of it.

La Petite Maison is one cozy place. I love the ambiance, the crowd and of course, the food is absolutely magnifico! Make sure to include them on your list as Dubai's must visited restaurants!

Scissor Sisters Set for Yas Island ♥

The chart topping Scissor Sisters will be bringing their widely loved and infectious dance floor anthems to Yas Island Abu Dhabi at the FLASH Forum on January 12th.

The New York duo will be joined by MOBO award and Mercury Music Prize winning singer, Ms. Dynamite, who is revered for introducing UK garage music to the mainstream with her 2002 debut album, A Little Deeper.

As I continue to unveil the other side of me, my Christmas style feature continues...

Presenting my other alter ego: Rockstar ♥

During my high school years, I have tried almost everything hiphop from Milli Vanilli and MC Hammer. When I came to the city for my college days, my environment was deeply involved with heavy metal music and this was the time when I fell-in-love with dark and matte full lipsticks now known as the vamp look, and of course, the black outfit. Just remember the "The Craft" movie and you'll understand what I'm sayin'.

My love for black outfits led me in owning almost half of my closet in black palettes. Other than that, I can say that its practical.

I am lovin' this feature as this is the very first time I have embraced my naturally curled and frizzy hair. Valentino, HMUA, made it more prominent by styling it further and added more volume. ♥

I've been wanting to wear this tube dress I got from Tipsy Gipsy since last year but now is the only time for me to really use it. Bloggers were spoiled this festive season as we kept on getting exclusive invitations for either lunch or dinner celebrations. This day, I am officially closing my 2011 craving for Arabic cuisine at Leila Restaurant located at Midriff City Center.

We've had the most delicious main dishes and almost getting ready to go when desserts started pouring in and I almost fell on my seat when I tasted these four (4) amazing and mouth watering sweets I have ever tried in my entire life! ♥

No exaggeration.. but we actually asked for one more round of these Flirting in Beirut (above photo) cotton candy with Ice cream.

Sorry folks but my bad, I remember asking the ladies the name of these 3 other desserts but because I was busy tasting them all, I forgot it right away, but I can tell you how they taste.. hehehe!

This Christmas, I am delighted to share with you my 2 alter egos.♥

VINTAGE LOVE 1

My love for vintage is irreplaceable and I always thank God that He gave me a capability in producing my own vintage photos in any way I can imagine. I remember the days when I used to arrange my Mom's photographs every year looking at her old photographs and now that she's gone, I am relieved for those memories that we shared together.

Somehow, I am looking forward to get myself a houndstooth soon and I was very much pleased to see this piece at Splash Fashions.

Its just perfect that way I wanted it. V- neck to elongate my neck, 3/4 sleeves for that conservative look yet the overlap style of the skirt gives the right impression of being sexy. A one-piece dress that gives the ideal curves that I needed.

In case you haven't noticed, aside from being surrounded by fabulous people, I am very blessed with talented friends too. Let me introduce to you Eros Goze, who is making his way up as one of the fashion photographers emerging here in Dubai.

I have known Eros since 3 years ago and when we were both practicing our craft as photographers. One of my mentors and a good photographer friend, Henry Hilos introduced me to him at Dubai Fashion Week 2008. We clicked instantly and had a chance to collaborate together when he sponsored haute couture gowns to one of the very first photography workshops I helped organized. Eros happens to be a fashion designer too.

I have been following Ezra's work since I started photography and by the year 2008, I was privileged to capture his best gowns in one of the very first photography workshops I helped organized with my friends here in Dubai.

I can't remember how, when and where we are properly introduced yet I'm glad that Ezra Santos have known me, my works and my blog for quite some time. I have been praying to do a private shoot with his collection since last year but it never pushes through. I hope this time, I will be able to make it, fingers crossed!

It was one of my blessed days when I was requested to do a private interview with him for the Swarovski - Sense of Two.

Ezra with his stylish outfits mostly in black or white, reflects the overall personality of being successful, happy and contented. Approachable yet elegant, he has his magical way on letting everyone feel comfortable in front of him and into his atelier - Ezra Fashion Design. I don't think I need to tell you about his classical definition of ambiance when it comes to his surroundings. I did the video interview and the profile shoot right in his receiving room. And believe me when I say I wanted to stay there for the entire evening. =D

The Dark Side of Beauty

I know, my style and approach in fashion photography especially in beauty is quite predictable. I just love portraying perfection in every details of my artworks. Somehow, this is the path I am heading on.

Nevertheless, like any other artist, random thoughts and inspirations come unexpected. And the question is, "Are you ready to take the challenge?"

I am!

My bf is currently having his advance photography classes and as you know all, I am an addict when it comes to shoots, I took the liberty on arranging the models and MUA's every Friday... hoping that I can take photos even at the shortest time. hehehehe!

Given the slightest break, I have to think of a way on how to make my shoot different from the trainees. And that inspiration came out of nowhere.. there were no other ways to get the props I needed so I have to make use of what's around me..

I asked help from 3 boys (includes my bf) to grab the model's shoulders and be a part of my masterpiece for the day... and below is the overall result...

I was advised a long time ago that a fabulous woman should keep at least 5 lipsticks on her vanity kit.. I started my lipstick collection during my college days and I always bought the dark and matte ones. It was the time of heavy metal chic! And believe it or not, my heavy metal chic days are officially back this season! Wohooo!

Vamp lips, as they call it and have seen a lot of them on the Fall/Winter 2011-12 ramps and its seriously gorgeous! And to keep up with my new collection, I have 5 different shades ready to party!

Orange eyes continues to be seen on the Fall/Winter 2011-12 ramps from Rodarte, Donna Karan and Prada. Another version of smokey eyes this season, applying orange eyes is quite a time-saver! So go ahead! Be playful with shades of warm orange from autumn to acid orange and mix it up with a touch of pink. Or patting on nuetral shimmery bronzer from lashline to crease and finish it with a few coats of black mascara.
